Scentiment Peachy Keen Begonia requires an evenly moist, well-drained growing medium to thrive. Water gently at the soil level whenever the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry to the touch. It is highly sensitive to overwatering and will quickly suffer root issues if left sitting in standing water. Outdoor patio containers and hanging baskets dry out rapidly under prairie summer breezes and will require more frequent watering than garden beds.

This premium hybrid performs exceptionally well in partial shade to full shade. While the advanced genetics of the I'CONIA series allow it to tolerate more morning sun and ambient summer heat than older begonia strains, it should always be shielded from the scorching, harsh midday and afternoon sun in Manitoba to protect its delicate, fragrant petals.

Although this variety has robust branching and a naturally tidy, semi-trailing habit, routinely deadheading spent blossoms and snipping away older yellowed leaves is highly recommended. Clearing away old flowers prevents botrytis (grey mold) and actively encourages a continuous, heavy production of fresh peach-and-yellow flower buds from spring until the first autumn freeze.
